The mission of Checotah First Church is to love God, to love others, and to magnify the name of Jesus Christ. The vision of our church is to Learn the Word with our Heads, Love the Word with our Hearts and Live the Word with our Hands and to make true disciples throughout all the nations by means of missionary activity and support, to minister the ordinances, to edify believers, and to do all that is sovereignly possible and biblically permissible to magnify the name of Jesus.

Pastor Mark Shores and his wife Khristi have been here since May 2018. They have followed the Lord here after 17 years of ministry in Albuquerque and six years in Illinois. They have two grown sons, John and Josh, who reside with their families in New Mexico. Each of them have two children. Mark and Khristi enjoy riding their Bike and spending time with their four grandkids!. Bro. Mark loves to preach and teach the Word of God.
Bro. David, and his wife Margaret, are both such a blessing to our church family and to our community. He has served our church as Music Minister for several years and they both serve on our church praise team. They enjoy spending time with their grandkids and are a great, loving example of what it means to serve the Lord with gladness.
